Coveting new, two-toned frames from Dan Levy eyewear
When the June 2013 issue of Vogue landed in my mailbox in mid-May, I do what I always do: I sat down and flipped though the entire magazine, taking in each stylish page. I stopped flipping when I came to page 151, half way through a spread with model Kate Upton. I didn’t stop because of the busty American beauty, but because she was wearing a pair of frames that were insanely spectacular. Checking the credits, I saw they were from Tom Ford eyewear and listed at over $400 US. A quick internet search didn’t turn up a thing, as they were only available at select Saks Fifth Avenue locations. And last week after I attend this year’s Smut Soiree, I was reminded that former MTV host and now LA transplant Dan Levy had launched an eyewear line. Lainey and a few other guests were wearing D.L. Eyewear at the event, naturally. Browsing through the sleek site the following day, I laid eyes upon the McKenzie frame, $95, and they were perfect! A similar shape to the Tom Ford glasses, the two-tone on these unisex bad ass frames are comprised of tortoiseshell and clear hand-made acetate and all sex appeal. At least to me! After venturing to Jonathan + Olivia on Ossington, where D.L. Eyewear will be sold later this month, I had to order them for myself. Update to come!
