JNBY Spring 2014

JNBY Spring 2014, the China-based label looks to expand with its first-ever Canadian runway show

With a thriving business already set up in China and through Europe, JNBY took to a Canadian runway for the first time on Day Two of World MasterCard Fashion Week. Having established a store and showroom in Vancouver in 2008, the brand, designed by creative director Li Lin, is making in roads into the global market, having previously showed in Milan and, most recently, Tokyo. Lin’s Spring 2014 collection consisted of architecturally-inspired crinkled linens and silks in a palette of cream, green, navy and black. Slim cut pants, flowing cardigans and a cactus and grass print were stand outs of the collection, that was created in mostly muted tones, with the exception of a bright forest green. JNBY, which stands for Just Naturally Be Yourself, is minimalism at its best, which we could easily see in many boutiques in Toronto.
