Laura Siegel Fall 2012
Themed after “resurrecting dreams”, Laura Siegel presented her fall/winter ’12 collection with a nod to the unexpected.
Featuring draped, jagged and thick knits, eye-catching prints and unique design twists (especially the random placement of holes), Siegel kept the palate deep and natural. Models were coiffed in outrageous up-dos and makeup reminiscent of Lisbeth Salander.
Layering was a prominent feature of the line and Siegel included some of this season’s predicted trends including hi-lo, cutouts and full-length skirts.
The looks added a dimensionality through texture and bulk creating the illusion of drastic layering while wearing minimal pieces. Siegel also incorporated the ever popular lace-up leather boots.
Full of ready-to-wear and seasonally appropriate pieces, Laura Siegel presented an edgy and texturized collection that spoke directly to her Canadian audience.
