Oxblood, the hottest hue for Fall 2012
Fashion followers will know that Oxblood (we’re not referring to an eclectic foreign dish!!), is a rather sultry, must-have colour this fall, and is quite similar to burgundy. And Oxblood, a dark luscious blend of red, brown, and slight hint of plum, is having quite the moment.
While it seems as though Oxblood and leather were made for each other, this gorgeous hue is popping up in everything from cashmere to denim, making it easily wearable for all occasions. Perfectly complementing the natural colours of the season, try Oxblood leather leggings with an oversized grey cashmere sweater, a black cap toe smoking slipper a-la Sam Edelman and a chunky knit scarf. Combining contrasting textures will warm up the look and also tone down the intensity of the lustrous hue and leather combo.
