Salvatore Ferragamo delights Vancouver shoppers and shoe lovers with a revamped location
For the first time since opening its doors in 1992, Salvatore Ferragamo on Robson Street has redesigned and reopened the doors of their boutique to fuse the longstanding quality of the brand and products with a decidedly modern touch. The designer brand’s Tuscan roots are reflected in the new décor, outfitted in a champagne beige palette with custom Italian walnut wood.
The space, spanning 2,395 square feet, is full of handbags, clothing and a digital wall flashing images from their current runway show, and feels warm and homey. While the fitting suite could be a personal dressing room, the current star collection focuses on shoes, paying homage to the origins of the label, as Salvatore Ferragamo was a shoe designer before he expanded into luxury goods. The Creations shoe line is made up of a limited number of styles, and the launch coincides with the Museo Salvatore Ferragamo Exhibition in Florence, Italy where over 30 pairs and 50 outfits are being showcased along with a plentitude of photographs from the life of iconic actress Marliyn Monroe. The Vancouver boutique will be the only location carrying the line in Canada, which also offers favored styles of Audrey Hepburn, Judy Garland and Carmen Miranda.
