Holt Renfrew Spring 2013
Celebrating being “Hot at 175,” Holt Renfrew brought the crème de la crème of high fashion to their runway show Monday night. Following on the tails of the international fashion weeks, Holts presented an array of designer must-haves, like the geometric Prada suit we’ve been lusting over for months. Also, featuring looks from Dsquared2, Tom Ford, Victoria Beckham, YSL, Céline, Kenzo, Jil Sander and more, the presentation transformed the runway room into a high fashion dream.
“Tonight we’re proud to present a special take on ‘Canadian Catwalk,’ celebrating Holt Renfrew as the destination for those who love fashion,” said Alix Box, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Holt Renfrew. “Our runway showcases this unique moment in our 175 year history with an inspiring collection of contemporary and designer fashions to wear right now.”
Of the 67 looks, no two were alike providing a glimpse of some of this season’s hottest trends such as embellishments (we’re seeing this a lot on collars!), optical illusion prints and plenty of texture, to name a few. Some accessory designers included Michael Kors, Manolo Blahnik, Rosegold and Toronto’s own Maryam Keyhani.
A natural mix of both Canadian and international designers, Holt’s “Hot at 175” show was the perfect book end to the Spring 2013 fashion weeks that have passed, as well as a promising opening act for this season’s World MasterCard Fashion Week in Toronto.
