Pink Tartan Spring 2013
With the finest structured fabrics, Kimberly Newport-Mimran debuted her Spring 2013 Pink Tartan collection with a signature hue: pink, from (literally) head to toe!
With silhouettes ranging from tomboy (think boxy Stella McCartney circa A/W 2011) to vintage vixen (we were loving the printed pedal pushers and crop tops), the collection spoke to anyone with an eye for nostalgia. From swing coats to party dresses, each piece featured intricate material details reserved primarily for those one-off handmade finds at an antique shop.
With pastel colours and textured prints, the pieces evoked a ’60s mod vibe (perhaps a nod to Joe Fresh A/W 2012?). Although we loved the old-school inspiration, to pull off all these pieces might require a bit of… je ne sais quoi. Though, we’re willing to give a go to the crop top and full skirt look; how Grace Kelly!
