Soia & Kyo Spring 2013
Perfectly styled to meet the inspiration of escapist and traveler, Soia and Kyo debuted their Spring 2013 outerwear collection with feminine lines, hyper-pastels, mixing textures and patterns.
Presenting their Spring collection for the first time at World MasterCard Fashion Week, S&K (as to which they are affectionately referred) are known for their intricate detailing including, “oversized buttons, asymmetric and structured collars, wide belts and contrast trims.”
This collection offered a variety of styles from moto-jackets to jewel-toned leather and classic beige trenches. Styled with a sense of contrast, the looks were paired with clothing that combined textures (soft suede with hard tweed) and married unconventional ideas (grandpa sweaters and newsboy caps were styled with modern trenches on the men).
The overall look was effortless but deliberate – slouchy socks with espadrille wedges, turban-style headpieces, bright lips and mod eyewear – almost verging on student style but with a clean, unhinged approach.
